Our drivers are a key part of keeping food and drink supply chains moving safely and reliably across the UK. At Boughey, driver roles typically involve trunking and store deliveries, working to planned schedules with support from an experienced transport team.

We focus on giving drivers the tools and support they need to do the job well. This includes a modern, well-maintained fleet, realistic planning, ongoing training and a strong emphasis on safety and wellbeing.

Are you looking for secure and flexible warehouse work in excellent conditions?

If so, join us as a Warehouse Operative.

What's on offer and why us?

  • Working as a member of a busy Warehouse Team, you will be responsible for making sure our customers receive their orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. The role is a full warehouse position and will involve checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing and will use mobile plant vehicles (reach trucks, forklifts etc)
  • You will need the ability to carry out reach truck duties and other mobile plant as required - we will provide training/refresher training
  • A choice of flexible working patterns available:
    - Monday to Friday working 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00 with 1 in 5 weekend working
    - Monday to Friday 22:00 to 06:00 nights
    - Sunday to Thursday 22:00 to 06:00 nights
    - 4-on 4-off 06:00 to 18:00 fixed days
    - 4-on on 4-off 18:00 to 06:00 fixed night
  • The position will suit a team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • This is a hands-on role that may involve lifting and carrying
  • Salary is competitive, weekly paid and dependent on shift rota
  • Enhanced holidays of 33 days per annum

The team is the heartbeat of our business providing the important link between our customers and our warehouse and transport teams.

What does the role involve?

  • Working with our food industry customers by telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Managing a challenging workload, working closely with our Warehouse and Transport Teams to ensure we consistently deliver for our customers
  • The work is dynamic, fast-paced with plenty of variety
  • No specific experience necessary as full training will be provided
  • Hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and a Saturday or Sunday every five weeks
  • Excellent starting salary
  • You will be joining a successful, established and supportive company
