On average, our fleet covers 10,000,000 miles every year. We deliver to companies and retailers all across the UK and our geographical location means that we are perfectly placed to collect containers from the Port of Liverpool for our customers, while also being convenient for the thousands of companies in the North West.
We also operate extensive backhaul operations for our customers covering the length and breadth of the UK – from Glasgow to Southampton, Carmarthen to Felixstowe. And not forgetting, many of customers are importers bringing in produce through all the major UK ports to our North West base.
Investing in new fleet and the very latest technology, vehicle performance and efficiency is important to us. We renew our fleet every five years and currently operate the latest Volvo FH 13-litre 460bhp Euro 6 model. Our in-house engineering team constantly appraises the best vehicles on the market which includes evaluation of fuel efficiency, driver comfort and safety.
We hold one of the 2,000 Government issued licences to trial extended length trailers which accommodate two to four additional pallets. As part of the trial, the company has been operating ten of the trailers and is required to provide detailed performance feedback to the Department of Transport.
