The company is proud to be sponsoring the 2022 Nantwich Food Festival, one of Cheshire’s most established and successful events. Returning after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the festival attracts 40,000 visitors over three days.

Taking place between Friday 2nd and Sunday 4th September, the event showcases the best of food produce and talent, and features some of the country’s most popular celebrity chefs, music, entertainment and activities for all the family.

The company joins as a Gold Sponsor alongside three other local businesses, Mornflake, Applewood Independent Financial Advisors and Hall Smith Whittingham Solicitors, and will specifically support the market-styled and busy town centre area of the festival.

Transport Operations Director, Neil Trotter, joined festival officials and fellow sponsors at this year’s sponsorship launch held at the town’s St Mary’s Church.

Commenting on the decision to sponsor the festival, Managing Director Angela Carus said, “It’s great news that the Food Festival is back in September and we are thrilled to be playing a supportive role as one of its headline sponsors.

“We have a long association with the Nantwich area having been based in Wardle for 58 years, plus we now have our recently opened site in Crewe. Our work is all about servicing the food industry and of our team of 730 people, 90% live locally, so this is a perfect opportunity for us to establish a link with such a relevant and successful event so close to our own home.”

“We are indebted to them all, and particularly Nantwich Town Council, the prime supporter of the festival. Nantwich Town Mayor, Councillor Stuart Bostock tells me how pleased the Town Council is to see Nantwich Food Festival back in operation again, and to be able to support it.

“New to the festival for 2022 is local business and large local employer, Boughey, who will sponsor the market-styled town centre area, which replaces the marquee that had been there in recent years. Boughey first approached the festival organisers before the first Covid lockdown, so it is very pleasing to see that their enthusiasm for supporting the Festival has continued; we are delighted to welcome them as one of our Gold Sponsors.”
