Key Responsibilities

Neil oversees fleet operations for the company’s 127 vehicles and 250 curtain-sided trailers.

His responsibilities include driver recruitment and compliance, fleet compliance, VOSA OCRS scores, engaging in return load activity to increase revenue per mile, managing short lead time requirements, selecting and managing sub-contractors to assist with peak demand planning, and overseeing our Palletline services.

As well as day-to-day transport operations, Neil also manages a number of key customer relationships.

Career Background

Neil joined the company as Transport Operations Director in 2018 following a long and successful career with logistics company Gist. During his Logistics with Business Degree studies at Northumbria University, Neil spent a year with Gist to gain industry experience and was subsequently offered a place on the company’s Graduate Training Programme. His eleven-year career with the company encompassed a number of roles across the business and before joining us he held roles as Performance Manager – Transport, and General Manager of Gist’s base in Stone, Staffordshire.

Away from work

Cycling, walking, supporting Huddersfield Town AFC, trucks (of course!) and ferrying his children around!
