The company has installed a new £200,000 automated mobile racking scheme at its Wardle site. The ten aisles of 14-metre-high racking replaces an installation that has been in place for the last 13 years.

Stow Racking of Bromsgrove managed the site survey, scheme design, product specification and installation of the racking and utilised the original rails from previous mobile racking. The installation was completed in just four weeks.

Speaking about the installation, Director of Warehouse Operations, Danny Earp, said:

“We are committed to continually investing in new facilities and equipment to ensure that our business runs as efficiently as possible, and this includes replacing our mobile racking which provides us with approximately 300% more space compared with static racking.

“Stow Racking did a great job for us. It was critical that the installation was completed quickly to ensure minimal disruption to our operation.”

The company has also recently announced an investment of £11 million to renew its entire fleet of 127 vehicles.
