Charities benefit from generous Applaws pet food donation

Our customer, Applaws Natural Pet Food, has donated 8,202 Applaws cat meals to six charities.

The products have been repackaged in our Packing Hall and delivered by our fleet to six charities: Crewe-based Save A Life Cheshire Animal Rescue, The Brick in Wigan, Victory Outreach, Manchester; RSPCA across Manchester; Wetheriggs ARC in Greta Bridge and animal rescue and rehoming centre, Scottish SPCA.

The distribution of the products has been co-ordinated by Key Account Controller, Rheanna Roche, who works closely with Applaws and also volunteers for the Save A Life Cheshire Animal Rescue. Speaking about the Applaws donation, Rheanna, a passionate campaigner for animal welfare, said:

“Due to the Covid pandemic, the need for generous charity donations like the one provided by Applaws have become vital. It was really heartening to be able to contact the charities to let them know that we would be able to deliver high quality pet food products to them.

“At Save a Life Cheshire, we arranged to deliver the products to our network of animal carers and fosters as quickly as we could and they were very gratefully received.

“We’d like to say a big thank to Applaws and also the team here at Boughey who repackaged and distributed the food to the charities.”

Gemma Shepherdson, Global Brand Manager for Applaws said:

“We are always happy to support local charities, especially in current times and it was great news that Rheanna’s personal involvement and knowledge of animal charities meant that she was able to identify relevant recipients and getting everything co-ordinated so efficiently.”

The Applaws brand was established ten years ago and its popular range of cat and dog food products contain the highest quality ingredients and what the company describes as ‘natural simplicity’.
