Join Team Boughey as a GHT Loader

We are currently recruiting a GHT Loader for our Goods Handling Team at Wardle, Nantwich.

In this role, you will be working as a member of our busy GHT team, the role will be responsible for the movements of traffic on the yard and movement of trailers on an off-loading bay. Complete all paperwork and perform all tasks in line with our safe operating procedures and ensure that all paperwork is legible and compliant. The applying candidate MUST have Reach Truck experience. Employees need to be comfortable on their feet for most of the day and must have an understanding and appreciation of manual handling processes, safe working practices and is health & safety conscious.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Company and third party vehicles with customer products.
  • Put stock into the various warehouses in the correct manner and to locate as and when required.
  • Load vehicles, using a FLT as and when required in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Unload containers and vehicles using FLT as and when required in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high standard with due regard to the internal and external Customer’s requirements.
  • To complete all paperwork and documents as the position requires.
  • Assist the warehouse teams with unloading of product and other additional warehouse duties
  • To ensure the site or areas comply with all Environmental and Health & Safety requirements and to inform the Supervisor or Transport Operations Manager if any improvements need to be made.
  • Support and deliver on the Company mission, vision and live and promote the Company values.
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits.
  • To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself.

  • Hands on role that will involve lifting and carrying. Comfortable on your feet.
  • Capable of operating mobile plant including Reach & Counterbalance Forklift trucks – essential.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Reliable, on time and always ready to achieve the company tasks and responsibilities.
  • A team player who is honest, hardworking, works well under pressure and communicates well.
  • Has an attention for detail.
  • Feels comfortable and can operate IT equipment/scanners.
  • Ability to be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.

What we offer:

  • Location: Wardle, Nantwich, CW5 6RS.
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days, 12-hour shifts, 06:00 hours to 18:00 hours (39.375 hours per week).
  • Salary: £12.97 per hour – paid weekly.
