The 2023 UKWA Awards were held yesterday at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The occasion celebrated the exceptional achievements of individuals and companies operating in the logistics industry.
After an incredible year, we were shortlisted for ‘Excellence in Sustainability,’ along with competition from AIPUT, Rhenus Warehousing Solution UK, and Unipart Group.
The award went to Rhenus Logistics, but we’re extremely proud to be named as highly commended by UKWA. This is strong recognition that we’re doing the right things for our colleagues, community, the environment, and our planet.
Prior to the event, we had recently submitted our application for B Corp Certification following over eight months of preparation. The company completed the Impact Assessment as part of the certification process. B Corp Certification signifies that a business meets high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency towards its employees.
For us, it represents a commitment to the movement going forward. The evaluation process will now commence and it is expected to take several months as the company undergoes thorough scrutiny.
