Team Boughey showstoppers raise money for charity

The Best Overall Bake By Georgia Lowe

The Boughey Bake-off was held on the 11th of November this year and was a huge success. Thirteen bakers from all over the company baked cakes and bread to raise money for the charity Chance Changing Lives which supports homeless and vulnerable people in Crewe and Nantwich.

Awards were given out for the overall best bake, best tasting and the most creative bakes. The dreaded Soggy Bottom Award was taken away due to the excellent standard of baking this year. Winners were:

Best Overall Bake: Georgia Lowe

Best Tasting Bake: Martin Browne

Most Creative Bake: Anna Wieczorek

Event organiser, Amanda Oakes said “It was a fantastic event that wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing Boughey bakers. The money raised, from the sale of the bakes, will go towards a great cause and I’d like to thank everyone who donated.”

Prizes for taking part were also given to; Olivia Ball, Ionela Tone, Ian Aldington, Dawn Woollands, Sarah Hall, John Collins, Imogen Ryder, Carmel Bevington, Stacy Beckett and Dave Vernon.

The event raised £195.70, which is being matched by Managing Director Angela Carus.
