Join Team Boughey as a Warehouse PI Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Night Warehouse PI Operative for our Warehouse Team in Lymedale, Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

The successful candidate will be working as a member of a busy Warehouse team, the role will hold a responsible position within the perpetual inventory team responsible for the auditing of stock and transactional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing all paperwork and documents as the position requires.
  • Stock control management
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of all inbound & outbound stock movements.
  • Preparation of weekly KPI reports.
  • Input into new projects and processes.
  • Strong numerical skills, with the ability to manipulate and present raw stock data clearly and explain what it represents.
  • Carry out ad-hock stock counts as required, reporting completion and results in a structured identifiable way.
  • Liaising with customers, assist with depot visits and external auditors.
  • Carry out investigations and root cause analysis into stock discrepancies.
  • To report all shortages and damages found to the management team immediately.
  • To maintain a high-quality standard with due regard to the internal and external customer’s requirements.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy manner.
  • To abide by the company policies and procedures.
  • Able to carry out Reach truck duties and other mobile plant when required (training/refreshers will be given as required for the needs of the department).
  • Support and deliver on the Company mission and vision whilst living and promoting the Company values and principles.
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits.
  • To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself.

What we are looking for:

  • Applicants to be numerate with good communication skills – both verbally and written.
  • Good level understanding of IT systems.
  • SAP – an advantage however, full training will be provided.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excell, Outlook).
  • Ability to relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Reliable, on time and always ready to achieve the company tasks and responsibilities.
  • A team player who is honest, hardworking, works well under pressure and communicates well.
  • Has an attention for detail and confident feeding back data and discrepancy information to management
  • Feels comfortable and can interpret stock data.
  • Ability to be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.
  • Ability to carry out risk assessments as necessary during course of duties.
  • Capable of presenting stock data to management if required.

  • Location: Lymedale, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, ST5 9QG.
  • Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am (37.5 hours per week).
  • Salary: £15.42 per hour – paid weekly.
