Join Team Boughey as a Warehouse Operative – Nights

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our Night Warehouse Team at Wardle, Nantwich.

The successful candidate will be working as a member of a busy warehouse team; the role will be responsible for making sure our customers receive their orders as quickly as possible. The role is a full encompassing Warehouse position and will involve checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Please note: the applying candidate must have Reach Truck experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking orders from pick lists and locate stock as and when required.
  • Packing orders ready for dispatch.
  • Dispatching goods to our customers.
  • Completing all paperwork and documents as the position requires.
  • Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a manner so that the Company is not liable for any damages.
  • To report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy manner.
  • To abide by the company policies and procedures.
  • Able to carry out Reach truck duties and other mobile plant when required (training/refreshers will be given as required for the needs of the department).
  • Support and deliver on the Company mission and vision whilst living and promoting the Company values and principles.
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits.
  • To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself.

What we are looking for:

  • Hands on role that will involve lifting and carrying. Comfortable on your feet.
  • Capable of operating mobile plant including Reach & Forklift trucks – Essential.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Reliable, on time and always ready to achieve the company tasks and responsibilities.
  • Honest, hardworking, works well under pressure and communicates well.
  • Has an attention for detail.
  • Feels comfortable and can operate IT equipment.
  • Ability to be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.

What we offer:

  • Location: Wardle, Nantwich, CW5 6RS.
  • Shift Patterns:
    • 4 on 4 off nights, 12-hour shifts, 6pm to 6am (39.375 hours per week).
    • Sunday to Thursday, 8 hour shifts, 10pm to 6am (37.5 hours per week).
  • Salary:
    • 4 on 4 off – £15.51 per hour – paid weekly.
    • Sunday to Thursday – £14.92 per hour – paid weekly.
