Join Team Boughey as a Debrief Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our Debrief team at Wardle, Nantwich.

You will be supporting the Debrief Team Leader, an integral part of the Boughey operation, liaising with various department within the business, dealing with drivers and the GHT/Transport team daily. Tipping trailers, managing pallet returns and ensuring the details of worked pallets is added to the internal systems. (SAP). Employees need to be comfortable on their feet for most of the day and must have an understanding and appreciation of manual handling processes, safe working practices and is health & safety conscious.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the team leader and achieve the warehouse targets and KPIs set in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To ensure the site or areas comply with all Environmental and Health & Safety requirements and to inform the Supervisor or Transport Operations Manager if any improvements need to be made.
  • To deal with any discrepancies found ensuring corrective action is taken and if necessary, report immediately to the Transport Operations Manager.
  • To maintain an investigate stock integrity on returns.
  • To support the Supervisor in carrying out investigations, absence & attendance meetings and PIP’s when required.
  • To take on any necessary jobs or roles within your capabilities that would be considered a reasonable request, given your knowledge & experience.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept in a safe, clean, and tidy manner.
  • To abide by all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Able to carry out Reach Truck and other mobile plant duties (refresher training will be given as required).
  • Support and deliver on the Company mission and vision whilst living and promoting the Company values.
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits.
  • To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself.

  • Show general competence with and good knowledge base of computers, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and comprehensively. (SAP & Microsoft Packages)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude.
  • An effective team member who can pro-actively identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of logical thinking and be resilient and able to cope well under pressure.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment.
  • Hands on role that will involve lifting and carrying. Comfortable on your feet.
  • Capable of operating mobile plant including Reach & Forklift trucks – essential.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Reliable, on time and always ready to achieve the company tasks and responsibilities.
  • Has an attention for detail.
  • Ability to be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.

  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm (37.5 hours per week).
