Each year, the Road Haulage Association runs a programme which invites member companies to nominate drivers who they believe really go the extra mile in their work. Nominations are submitted to the RHA who then select and honour heroes on a dedicated website. Selected nominees then go forward to a final to select a winner and three runners-up.
Our Compliance Team nominated driver Paul Tubb as a hero and, although Paul didn’t take the top spot, we can proudly announce that he was selected as a RHA Hero.
In the nomination submitted to the RHA, the Compliance Team said:
“Paul Tubb makes a fantastic contribution to our industry. He overcomes adversity every single day coping with his prosthetic leg, but he always wears a smile and displays a fantastic positive attitude. He has a can-do attitude to his work and nothing is too much trouble for Paul.
He sets a real example to all of us and portrays the company in a positive way to each of our customers – a true ambassador for Boughey Distribution. The professionalism Paul displays is exemplary.
Not only is Paul a great colleague; he also presents an inspiring story for our industry and, we are sure, could encourage others with similar disabilities to pursue a career in driving.”
Congratulations Paul – you are officially a hero.
