That commitment was at the heart of our recent support for Cheshire College – South & West, where we helped deliver a major equipment donation that will give students valuable hands-on experience as they prepare for careers in engineering and technical industries.
The specialist equipment was donated by global biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. Weighing 2.1 tonnes, the donation includes resources such as packaging conveyor belt systems, vacuum testers, instrumentation washers and mechanical lifting equipment.
Working closely with the College, our Palletline team provided logistical support as a goodwill contribution, ensuring the equipment was transported safely and efficiently to its new home. For us, it was a practical way to support a valued local education provider while helping young people access the kind of industry-standard equipment they may encounter in the workplace.
By helping place this specialist equipment into an educational setting, we are supporting the next generation of engineers with practical experience that mirrors real working environments. The project also gives high-quality equipment a new purpose, extending its lifecycle and supporting sustainable reuse.
Employer partnerships play an important role in helping learners build confidence, understand industry expectations and develop the skills that local businesses will need in the years ahead.
