But what inspires women to choose a career in logistics? We asked some of our colleagues why they chose a career in logistics.

Why Logistics? “Logistics is a complex and growing industry. In my position I want to be challenged, continuously learn, and grow.
Logistics is a suitable choice if I want to learn and progress to higher and better-paid positions. Oversee activities related to purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing.
The nature of the field allows entry-level employees to be trained to manage high-level job positions to fill the widening skills gap.”

“What I enjoy on my job is that no two days are the same in logistics . The challenges you face can vary day by day and this is keeping the work exciting and preventing monotony.”

“I have chosen a career in logistics because I have the opportunity to develop relationships with suppliers and clients as well.
Every retail organisation has a supply chain, so this is an area where there are multiple opportunities to develop my skills, progress and multiples opportunities of employment.
What I enjoy most about my job in logistic is that I have the opportunity to grow and progress, I have the chance to be involved in the development of my colleagues , help others to achieve their goals and share my knowledge. I have the chance to collaborate with different people from different fields and learn from their knowledge for my own development.”
