Join Team Boughey as a HGV Shunter Driver

We are currently recruiting a Shunter Driver for our Transport team at Wardle, Nantwich.

Working as a member of a busy team, the role will be responsible for the movement of traffic on the yard and the movement of trailers on an off-loading bay. Tasks must be completed in line with company safe operation procedures and policies whilst all paperwork must be legible and compliant. The role reports directly to the Transport Manager. This is a hands-on role which involves lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and may use mobile plants on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and managing the yard for deliveries coming into the bays.
Responsible for assisting inbound drivers.
Tip and load trailers if required.
Maintain all records to ensure they meet Boughey specifications and audit requirements.
To abide by all Company Policies and Procedures.
Able to carry out mobile plant duties if necessary (refresher training will be given as required).
Support and deliver on the Company mission and vision whilst living and promoting the Company values.
Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits.
To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself.

Hands on role that will involve manual handling – lifting and carrying.

Capable of operating mobile plant equipment – desired.

Has an attention for detail.
Feels comfortable and can operate IT equipment.

Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.
Clean employee record.

What we offer:

Location: Nantwich Road, Wardle, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 6RS.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Days – 6am to 6pm
Rate of Pay: £15.37 per hour, paid on Friday weekly.
